When the Cameras Stopped

Authors pov:

It had been weeks since Splitsvilla ended. Everyone had returned to their normal lives, but for two people, nothing felt normal anymore.

As the episodes continued to air, Akanksha was gaining millions of followers. People were loving her for who she was and, more importantly, for the way she had handled

everything inside the villa. Even after losing her friends and connections one by one, she never stepped back. She picked herself up, moved forward, and continued to play the game on her own terms.

And that was exactly what people admired about her.

She chose to move forward.

Maybe it wasn't easy. Maybe there were still moments when the memories came back, when she wondered about the things left unsaid and the people she had lost. But she didn't let those moments define her. She kept going, kept smiling, and kept building a life beyond the villa.

And people noticed that strength. They admired the girl who had been left behind but refused to let herself stay there.

But on the other side, things were very different for Yogesh.

With every new episode, the hate grew. Fans blamed him for his choices, especially for leaving Akanksha behind. His Instagram was flooded with angry comments, edits criticizing him, and messages reminding him of the decision he had made.

Everyone had an opinion about what he had done.

But no one knew what was happening inside his head.

Because while the world had already decided that Yogesh was the villain of their story, he was beginning to realize that the biggest mistake he had made wasn't something he could simply move on from.

At first, he tried to convince himself that he had made the right choice. But as the episodes aired, he began seeing everything differently. He saw Akanksha handling every situation with strength, even when she had every reason to break down. He saw the moments they had shared, the trust she had placed in him, and the way his decision had affected her.

And slowly, the regret began to sink in.

The hate from the fans was difficult, but that wasn't what hurt the most. What hurt was knowing that somewhere behind all those comments was a truth he couldn't escape-he had hurt the one person who had genuinely trusted him.

He would open Instagram and see edits of them together. He would hear people talking about what could have been.

Sometimes, he would find himself going back to old memories, wondering where everything had gone wrong.

What if I had made a different choice?

What if I hadn't let her go?

And what if she never gives me another chance?

The world had already chosen its side.

Akanksha was moving on.

Yogesh was facing the consequences.

But was Akanksha really over everything?

And was Yogesh truly ready to let her go?

Because sometimes, moving on doesn't mean forgetting. And sometimes, losing someone is what finally makes you understand their worth.

And perhaps the hardest question was yet to come-

What happens when the person you chose to leave behind becomes the one person you can't stop thinking about?
